Brandard and others, all printed on heavy paper, with plain paper guards. 576 wood-engravings many of which are full-page. Gilt edges and gilt and black embossing on chestnut bevelled boards. Tight bindings, new endpapers.

'Carefully Compiled From Original Documents In The Government State-Paper Offices, And Known As The "Acts And Monuments" Of The Christian Church.' Marble boards, edges and endpapers, front endpaper has library sticker from St Marks, Canberra, Goulburn Diocesan Library and noted as a 'spare'. 1/2 leather. Leather spine has five raised bands with title and ornate gilt design (see photo). Some foxing to first few leaves, 984 pages, 27 steel engraved plates, contents Book I - IX plus Appendix. A very tight and good copy.

Good. 12 songs. Red cloth boards with strong black relief design. This edition appears to be a US edition. On the reverse of the title page is printed 'Copyright in the United States of America 1930'. The final song in this volume is 'Rolling Down to Rio', which, purportedly, is a substitute in the American version for 'I've Never Sailed the Amazon', which appears in the UK edition.

This is a very clean copy, binding is very tight red silk cloth, green title and sub-title with black rabbit graphic between, blue end papers, clean unmarked ff papers. A beautiful collectible. Joel Chandler Harris (December 9, 1845 – July 3, 1908) was an American journalist, fiction writer, and folklorist best known for his collection of Uncle Remus stories. Harris was born in Eatonton, Georgia, and spent the majority of his adult life in Atlanta working as an associate editor at the Atlanta Constitution. Harris led two significant professional lives. Editor and journalist Joe Harris ushered in the New South alongside Henry W. Grady, stressing regional and racial reconciliation during and after the Reconstruction era. Joel Chandler Harris, fiction writer and folklorist, recorded many Brer Rabbit stories from the African-American oral tradition and revolutionized children's literature in the process.

This is a production of the Talleres Graficos de la Nacion, and in every way lives up to the high production values of their work.

Sketches of Northern Spanish Architecture: In Pen, Pencil and Wash
New York: Architectural Book Publishing Co, 1924. Hardcover. Good +. [publisher: . [1926], New York] 51 illustrated plates unbound in the publisher's original salmon boards stamped in black with original red cloth spine and with a cloth ribbon tie. All plates present and in good condition. Samuel Chamberlain studied architecture at the University of Washington (1913) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1914). When the United States entered the First World War Chamberlain left M.I.T. to join the American Field Service Ambulance Corps in France. He was so impressed with the architecture of the old world that he stayed in Europe to sketch after the end of the war in 1918. In this regard, Samuel Chamberlain joined other famous Americans who dedicated much of their art to European architectural scenes, such as Whistler, Pennell and John Taylor Arms. Chamberlain was both the author and illustrator of a number of architectural books, including Sketches of Northern Spanish Architecture (1924).

In text illustrations and side notes throughout. Interesting and rare book. Brownell Car Company was a horsecar and streetcar builder in St. Louis, Missouri. Originally founded as Brownell and Wight Car Company by Frederick Brownell and Andrew Wight in 1875 as a horsecar builder and the company was renamed in 1879. It later produced electric cars after horsecars service was abandoned by many cities. The Brownell Car Company of St. Louis began as the 1879 reorganization of the Brownell & Wight Car Company. The company was bought by either American Car Company or J. G. Brill and Company in 1902.

Document folder style graphic wraps containing 30 Prints, 17 Grayscale and 13 in colour., and 17 pp text in two columns in castellano including pp in French and in English. Salvador Bartolozzi was the eldest of four children of the marriage of Luke Bartolozzi, Italian , a native of Lucca , and the Spanish Obdulia Rubio. He published his first drawings in the magazine New World when he was only fourteen. In 1901, Bartolozzi moved to Paris , where he began a career as a painter, but returned to Spain in 1906 and began working with his father in the workshop of the School of San Fernando, while performing illustrations for Editorial Calleja. Collaborated with numerous publications (including The Tale Weekly, The Book People and Spanish and American Plate), and in 1915 was appointed artistic director Rafael Calleja Calleja Publishing. In 1925 launched a new weekly children, Pinocchio , which developed comic with the character created by Carlo Collodi , a very personal way. He Also worked as a designer in plays such as 'The Shoemaker's Prodigious Wife' by Federico García Lorca or the other, from Miguel de Unamuno . After the civil war , he was forced to take refuge in France. When the Gallic country was invaded by Germany in 1940, Bartolozzi fled to Casablanca from where he made his way to Veracruz in late 1941. In Mexico, he continued his career as a writer and illustrator, and also introduced in the field of animation . He died in Mexico City on July 9, 1950.
